  • How is the new building being funded?

A public-private partnership began in 2016 when Little Rock residents voted in favor of a 2% hotel tax to benefit the Arkansas Arts Center (now the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts), the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, and MacArthur Park.

Building on a $31 million commitment from the City of Little Rock, a special fundraising campaign was created to realize the new Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. Reimagining the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts now has a $155 million fundraising goal and overwhelming private support has more than quadrupled the public contribution to the project.
