Photography and Videography Policy

Guests are welcome to take photographs/videos using a cell phone or small camera in public spaces and permanent collection galleries for personal, non-commercial use at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA).

Professional photography and videography in the Museum or on grounds maintained by the Museum require advance notification and an AMFA-issued photo pass.

Wardrobe changes, flash photography, multi-component photographic equipment, props, and/or furniture in the Museum or on Museum grounds also require advanced notification and a photo pass. Climbing or posing on Museum structures or art displays is not permitted.

Photography/videography must be conducted without disruption to Museum operations and facility rentals. Photo sessions may not take place in entrances/exits, doorways, stairways, and high-traffic areas. Large groups of people inside the Museum or on the Museum grounds may be deemed disruptive and asked to move.

Photo or video assets taken on-site may not be published, sold, reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner.

AMFA reserves the right to restrict photography/videography at any time. Commercial photo passes are not currently being issued.

If you are uncertain if photography or videography is permitted in your situation, please ask a Guest Services Assistant or Security Officer before taking any photos/videos.
