Beginner | Small Scale Animal Sculpture Workshop
Create a small hand-sized animal sculpture and learn the basics of solid clay sculpting.
Instruction covers how to use simple sculpting tools to model, hollow, rejoin, and attach the sculptures to a clay vessel or form. Bring 5 images on 8.5” x 11” paper of your chosen animal in a curled-up or seated position to sculpt.
Sculptures will be fired in an electric kiln. Glazing is not included with this workshop.

Intermediate | Basics of Glazing Workshop
Learn and review ceramic glazing techniques. Instruction will cover the practical aspects of glazing like dipping and brushing high-fire studio glazes onto bisqueware. Participants can bring up to ten hand-sized wheel thrown or handbuilt bisque fired pieces to be glazed during this one-day workshop.
Work will be fired in a high-fire gas kiln. Cone 9-10 clay is required for this workshop.

Drop in at either of these drawing sessions to work in an untutored setting from the draped or undraped model. Each three-hour session will feature a variety of timed poses, providing a dynamic experience for both students and artists.
Must be 18+ to attend, as the sessions may use the undraped model. Instructor moderates the session and is available for critique and questions upon request.

Beginner | Glass Wall Vase Workshop
Create colorful wall pocket vases for your walls and windows! These water-tight vases are wonderful for flower cuttings, dried flowers, herbs, incense sticks, or just left plain.
Use thick fiber paper to create the form for the pocket of your vase and learn how to embed the chain hooks within your design. Learn glass-cutting techniques and design considerations.

Beginner | Found Object Sculpture Workshop
A found object is an organic or manufactured object, or part of an object, that is found or purchased by an artist because it is interesting. Working with different connection methods, learn to assemble found objects into a sculpture using brazing – a technique for joining dissimilar metals at a safe temperature. Cold connections (in which parts are joined without heat) will also be used.
