It is against Museum policy to place a value on any work of art. Please contact these professional organizations to find a qualified appraiser:
Students may park in any guest parking space in the AMFA parking lot.
If the AMFA parking lot is full, students may utilize the parking lot at the Firehouse Museum & Hostel on 1201 Commerce Street or any street parking available along Commerce, Rock, or 11th Streets.

Students may enter the building through the Windgate Art School entrance (see starred location on map).
Follow the covered walkway to the double doors on your left and press the button on the call box. Security will answer and ask which class you are attending and open the door to let you in.
Please use the Windgate Art School entrance as your primary entry and exit point for your classes. This entrance is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Students will be able to exit after 8:00 p.m., but not enter.
To find your classroom location in the Windgate Art School, please refer to the map in our Mobile Guide and tap on the Art School section.
For youth classes, guardians must escort their child to their classroom at the start of class and pick them up from the classroom when the class ends. Faculty are not able to escort children to and from the classroom.
- For your safety, wear closed-toe shoes in all studios. Do not wear sandals or Crocs.
- If you have long hair, tie it up so it does not catch on powered equipment.
- Wear clothing that can get a little dirty, feels not too loose, and is comfortable to work in.
- Do not wear any loose jewelry like necklaces and earrings. In some studios, even rings can interfere with your work.
All supplies are provided for youth classes and Art for Two experiences unless stated otherwise in the class description.

Many supplies can be purchased in-store or online at the AMFA Museum Store. Several classes have a complete supply kit available. If you would like to shop in person, the Museum Store is open during regular Museum hours.
Other locations for purchasing supplies are provided in the class supply lists.
AMFA cannot reschedule individually missed classes.
If a class is canceled due to weather, a makeup class will be scheduled. Your instructor will inform you of the makeup class date and time.
AMFA does not issue prorated rates and/or refunds for missed classes.
Yes, you can purchase a gift certificate online that can be applied to any Windgate Art School offering.
There are 10 wheelchair spaces available in the Performing Arts Theater at the regular ticket price for each performance.
To secure a ticket for these spaces, please contact Guest Services at 501.372.4000 for assistance with processing your purchase. Companion seating is also available for purchase.

Please contact the American Institute of Conservation to find a trained conservator who could help preserve your artwork (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.).
Sensory bags and weighted blankets are available for both children and adults at the Guest Services Desk. Each bag contains headphones, tinted glasses, a fidget item, and a weighted plush.
We also offer sensory-friendly performances during the run of every mainstage theatre production. Through the Accessible category in our event calendar, you can find all upcoming programs with sensory-friendly and other accessibility accommodations.

AMFA welcomes service animals that follow ADA guidelines, which define a service animal as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.
Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not permitted in the Theater.
Yes, children two and under are free if seated in an adult’s lap.
To maintain clear aisles and walkways, we ask that you park strollers in the areas designated in the back of the Performing Theater. Booster seats are available at the entrance to the Theater for your convenience.
Yes, concessions are available for purchase before performances. Only lidded beverages are permitted inside the Performing Arts Theater. No outside food or drinks are permitted.
The taking of photos or the use of recording devices during performances is strictly prohibited. Before and after the performance, however, you are welcome to take photos or videos at the theater and share them with your family and friends.

Our shows average around 60 minutes, with an optional Q&A session afterward if you would like to stay longer and learn more about the production from the crew.
Yes, tickets may be exchanged up to two hours before a performance starts.
For Children’s Theatre performances and Artist Talks, seating is general admission, and you select your seat upon arrival.
For concerts, you select your seats at the time of purchase.
The house opens 30 minutes before the performance time. We encourage you to arrive early so you have plenty of time to purchase concessions, find your seats, and make any last-minute trips to the restroom.

AMFA requires at least a 60-day out wedding planner or coordinator for all ceremonies and receptions.
We invite you to join us at our restaurant, Park Grill, or in the Cultural Living Room for food or beverages. Outside food and drink (other than water) is not permitted.
No food or beverages are permitted in the galleries.
AMFA welcomes all families. We have three family restrooms for your convenience, and the family restroom in the 1937 Lobby is equipped with comfortable seating for nursing mothers.
Nursing is welcome anywhere in the Museum. If mothers prefer more privacy, there is a designated space with comfortable seating. Please ask a Guest Services Assistant for access.
No animals, other than service animals, are allowed in the building.
Comfort animals, therapy animals, companion animals, or emotional support animals are not considered service animals as defined by the ADA, as they are not trained to perform a specific task for an individual with a disability.
If you lose an item during your visit to the Museum, please visit a Guest Services Desk for assistance. If you need help locating a lost item after your visit, please contact Guest Services at 501.372.4000 or connect@arkmfa.org. Found items are held with AMFA Security for 30 days.

We have a list of preferred vendors we can recommend to help you plan your event. AMFA has an exclusive in-house catering team for all food and beverage needs.
Guests are encouraged to take photographs and videos in public spaces for personal, non-commercial use. Flash photography, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and disruptions to other guests are prohibited. AMFA reserves the right to restrict photography/videography at any time.
Commercial photography and professional portrait photography or videography are not permitted without advance notification and an AMFA-issued photo pass. Please review our Photography Policy and Guidelines for more information about photography sessions inside and outside the Museum, and to request a photo pass.
AMFA staff will be onsite from start to finish on your event day. Rental fees also include security and janitorial services during your event. Depending on the size of your event, extra security personnel may be required at an additional cost.

Free, accessible, and safe parking for guests is available primarily along the west and south areas of the AMFA campus. Valet parking may be conveniently accommodated at the Museum’s main entrances. We will provide a preferred valet company to contact for your event.
In the event of inclement weather, we have backup options for our event spaces. The Special Events Manager will review these options with you before you book.
