Nevelson-Inspired Sculpture Workshop (SOLD OUT)

November 1 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Create a unique, free-standing clay sculpture inspired by the work of Louise Nevelson on view in AMFA’s Architects of Being exhibition. Students will visit the AMFA galleries to explore artworks, gathering ideas for incorporating shapes and form into a sculptural design.

Using a special black clay for this project, ceramic artist India Childress will lead you through manipulating the clay with slabs to achieve an exciting and complete artwork. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to draw inspiration from a rich collection while learning about and developing your ceramic techniques.
