Family Fest: Young Arkansas Artists
May 23 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Celebrate the creativity and achievement of student artists from across Arkansas. As the state’s longest-running art competition for grades K–12, Young Arkansas Artists spotlights imagination, skill, and self-expression each year. The exhibition offers these students the special opportunity to see their work showcased in the Museum.
To help celebrate their achievement, AMFA invites guests of all ages to view the exhibition, explore the Windgate Art School, learn about summer art camps, and create your own artworks through free, drop-in activities inspired by the art on view:
- Atrium / collaborative doodling and photo booth
- Windgate Art School / foam printmaking, portrait drawing, clay stamping, wheel throwing, and metal headpiece making
- Art Lawn / bubbles and lawn games
This event is recommended for ages 4 and up.
The 65th Young Arkansas Artists exhibition and awards are supported in part by Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Delaware North and the Jacobs Family, Simmons First Foundation, Mid-Southern Watercolorists, and Blick Art Materials.
The Windgate Art School is generously supported in part by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen.
