Craft in Common

Craft in Common is a one-day convening focused on collecting, connoisseurship, and exploring one of today’s most transformative art forms: craft.
Headlining the day are artist and collector Robyn Horn, steadfast advocate for the arts and artists, and blacksmith Elizabeth Brim, whose sculptural ironwork has redefined the boundaries of a traditionally male-dominated craft.

- 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. / “Collecting That Matters”
- A conversation on collecting with Horn and Stefanie Kirkland, AMFA’s Windgate Foundation Curator of Contemporary Craft
- 12:00–1:30 p.m. / Lunch & Demonstrations
- Lunch is provided. Experience hands-on studio demonstrations in ceramics, wood, glass, metals, and more in AMFA’s Windgate Art School.
- 1:30–3:00 p.m. / Screening & Conversation
- Watch a screening of the documentary Iron Pearls featuring Brim and witness a conversation between Elizabeth Brim and Andy Moon, Director of AMFA’s Windgate Art School.
- 3:00–5:00 p.m. / A “Craft in Common” Happy Hour
