Now in its 65th year, the Young Arkansas Artists (YAA) exhibition continues its tradition of honoring the imagination and talent of students and educators across the state. This milestone recognizes generations of young artists whose work reveals the exploration and determination that begin in the classroom and extend far beyond it. The exhibition also highlights Arkansas art educators, who play a central role in this legacy. Their guidance shapes students’ skills, nurtures creativity, and inspires young artists to pursue their ideas with confidence. Together, the artworks selected each year demonstrate the breadth of artistic expression found throughout Arkansas and the innovative, thoughtful approaches students bring to every medium.

This year’s exhibition expands to four works per grade, Kindergarten through 12th grade. The 52 artworks will be selected by a panel of museum and art professionals. The Grand Juror will also select a “Best in Class” award for each grade along with additional recognition.

Submission is free and open to Arkansas Kindergarten through 12th grade students in public schools, private schools, private instruction, and homeschool education. All submissions for this exhibition must be submitted by art educators and will be judged virtually.

Please see the submission form for full details.
