Marketing Coordinator

The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, (AMFA), located in Little Rock, AR, seeks a Marketing Coordinator.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting AMFA’s overall marketing efforts. This position will have an emphasis on public relations, but also require marketing and communications knowledge to coordinate/assist with other areas in the marketing department.

Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing and External Affairs, the Marketing Coordinator is a full-time position that supports the execution of a strategic marketing and communications plan that allows AMFA to achieve its business and attendance goals and raise the profile of the institution.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the public relations database; track all media placements and assist the Director of Marketing with pitches and reports
  • Assist with maintaining the marketing team’s project management software and coordinating projects with other departments
  • Write content and edit copy for multiple mediums (social, email, advertising, website) to ensure consistent brand voice
  • Manage editorial and event calendars for external promotion of AMFA’s exhibitions and programs; identify key calendar opportunities to attract visitors and amplify AMFA’s reach
  • Assist with website maintenance, including updates to the press kit, news posts, and event calendar
  • Identify, manage, and update internal marketing assets
  • Research market trends, analyze industry standards, and identify strategic opportunities
  • Assist with the execution of AMFA media events, press conferences, and other events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related discipline required
  • 2-3 years of related experience is expected
  • Some graphic design experience and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to write for a variety of audiences in a clear, grammatically correct, and engaging tone
  • Role may require occasional work during evenings and weekends to support special events or press coverage
