The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Announces First AMFA Art Market Coming September 2025

Artist Applications Accepted Online Through February 27, 2025

The first AMFA Art Market opens on Thursday, September 4, and runs through Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA). Bringing together over 30 contemporary artists from across the country, the AMFA Art Market will feature a unique selection of paintings, works on paper, contemporary craft, jewelry and more.

The event will span throughout the Museum, allowing guests to meet each artist, learn more about their creative processes, and purchase their work. The featured artists will be a combination of invited and juried artists.

“AMFA’s commitment to supporting artists and engaging the community through art is the central force behind this event,” shares Dr. Victoria Ramirez, AMFA’s Executive Director. “It offers an exciting opportunity for museum guests to make a direct connection with a variety of working artists and either start building or continue growing a personal art collection."

During the event, AMFA’s Windgate Art School will also host a marketplace showcasing emerging Arkansas artists on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Applications for both emerging Arkansas artists and featured artists are being accepted online through February 27, 2025, via ZAPP. Selected artists will be notified in March and announced in April.

The AMFA Art Market is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7. Circle Society and Corporate Partners enjoy an opening reception with the artists on Thursday, September 4, while AMFA members have access to a special preview on Friday, September 5.

Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter. Reduced tuition is automatically applied to all classes through 2025.
