AMFA offers children a variety of affordable, accessible, and playful educational experiences exploring the visual and performing arts.
By attending interactive programs that encourage doing and making and cultivate curiosity in a nurturing learning environment, students foster a love of the arts as they grow into adulthood and beyond.

Mini Masters | Grades K-2
In this eight-week class, our Mini Masters will use the AMFA galleries to explore artworks and the artists who made them. In the studio, we will use traditional art mediums and techniques to create masterpieces.

Music Making with Everyday Objects | Grades 1-4
In this five-week class, learn about recycling and its impact on the environment while making musical instruments! Explore different ways to use everyday items to create functional musical instruments, learn about various instruments, discover how others have used recycled materials to develop instruments, construct an instrument using recycled materials, and work together to improvise music.
All materials will be provided.

Imagine It! Make It! | Grades 3-5
From idea to creation, students in this eight-week class will learn new techniques to create their ideas in 3-D, upcycle, collage, drawing, and painting.

Musical Theatre | Grades 5-8
In this five-week class, learn the basics of Musical Theatre. With a combination of vocal work, dance and acting, take on creative freedom to portray emotion through song and dance. Enjoy working as an ensemble while developing skills in communication, empathy, and self-awareness.

Portfolio Preparation | Grades 9-12
The focus of this eight-weight class is to build a stronger portfolio for high school Juniors and Seniors for college review. The strengths of each student, as well as opportunities, will determine assignments. The class will be broken down to drawing, painting, and design.

Making Together: Clay Haunted Houses | All Ages
Discover the joy of artmaking together while creating a haunted house out of clay and decorating it.
This workshop is designed for one adult and one child to take together. Workshop participants will be contacted to pick up houses after the firing process has concluded.

Handbuilding is a fun and easy introduction to creating with clay. In this eight-week class, design in your mind and create with your hands. Use pinching, coiling, and slabs to create forms and sculptures from clay.
