The organization has approximately 200 members in 13 states\, Puerto Rico\, and Japan. \nTheir goal is to enrich the stature of watermedia and encourage the recognition of its significance in our culture. This organization furthers the interest of painters and patrons by its programs and by its competitive and non-competitive exhibits. DESCRIPTION:The Arkansas Cinema Society and the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts are proud to partner with A24 for a very special double feature of The Wild Bunch and Eddington.  \n\n\n\n‍The Wild Bunch is regarded as one of the greatest films of all time\, having been selected for preservation in the Library of Congress’ American Film Registry and ranked in the top 100 films of all time by the American Film Institute. Eddington director Ari Aster (Hereditary\, Midsommar) hand picked this film to screen in this double feature. \n\n\n\nAbout the Film\n\n\n\nIn this gritty Western classic\, aging outlaw Pike Bishop (William Holden) prepares to retire after one final robbery. Joined by his gang\, which includes Dutch Engstrom (Ernest Borgnine) and brothers Lyle (Warren Oates) and Tector Gorch (Ben Johnson)\, Bishop discovers the heist is a setup orchestrated in part by his old partner\, Deke Thornton (Robert Ryan). DESCRIPTION:Immerse yourself in a three-hour drawing session set in an untutored environment at the Windgate Art School. Learn how she uses this meditative process not only to address personal and social struggles\, but also to search for hope through her practice and materials. \nAs a leading voice in the intersection of contemporary art and ecological awareness\, Robson’s work and story offer an inspiring example of how creativity can drive change\, encourage reflection\, and transform the way we see the world around us. \nHer work is currently featured in The Long View: From Conservation to Sustainability: Works from the Bank of America Collection\, on view at AMFA from June 13 to August 31\, 2025. \nAbout Aurora Robson\nAurora Robson is known predominantly for her innovative\, meditative work intercepting the plastic waste stream. Born in Canada\, Robson grew up in Hawaii and then lived in New York City\, where she studied metal welding at Apex Technical School and earned her New York State metal welding certification. Robson then completed a double major in art history and visual art at Columbia University. \nSince then\, Robson has exhibited internationally while developing numerous techniques for sculpting with post-industrial and post-consumer plastic\, including fastening\, weaving\, sewing\, threading\, ultrasonic and injection welding\, and most recently 3-D printing. \nA recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Grant\, a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Sculpture\, a TED/Lincoln Re-Imagine Prize\, and a National Endowment for the Arts Grant\, Robson is also the founding artist of Project Vortex\, an international collective of artists\, designers and architects innovating with plastic debris. \nShe currently lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband\, two daughters\, and a very expressive dog. \n\nNight Flowers: Artist Talk with Aurora Robson is supported in part by the Alice L.
