DESCRIPTION:Learn the essential techniques of creating colorful glass beads from an expert glass artist. \nInstruction covers melting and shaping glass by using a hot torch flame\, exploring the process of working with glass rods\, and learning how to make round spherical beads. Working with the torch\, you will gain an understanding on how to manipulate glass\, forming beautiful\, original artwork. \nThis workshop is perfect for beginners interested in learning the basics of lampworking and bead-making. \n\nThe Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. \nThe Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter.
