DESCRIPTION:Discover the ancient and versatile art of feltmaking in this hands-on introductory workshop. \nParticipants will learn the basics of wet felting—using warm\, soapy water and agitation to transform wool fibers into fabric—and gain a deeper understanding of how to build and finish a felted piece. You will explore layering\, embellishing\, and fulling techniques to create a small decorative felted artwork. \nPerfect for beginners\, this workshop offers a fun and tactile way to connect with a timeless craft using simple tools and materials. \n\nThe Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. \nWindgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter.
