DESCRIPTION:Create a sculptural steel pendant inspired by the angled corners\, curved lines\, and other architectural elements of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. \nWork with a skilled metalsmith to manipulate steel into a wearable or decorative object. Through expert artistic instruction\, learn foundational metalsmithing techniques of scoring\, shaping\, and soldering. Your steel pendant will be finished to reflect soft and modern design qualities. \n\nThe Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. \nThe Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter. The workshop includes a live model session\, providing the opportunity to apply these skills through direct observation. \nWhether you are a beginner or refining your skills\, you will enjoy receiving expert instruction and practical guidance to capture a moment in time. \nStudents must be 18+ to attend\, as the workshop will feature an undraped model. \n\nThe Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. \nThe Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter.
