Inspired by Material Nature: John and Robyn Horn Collection\, decorate individual wood shapes and stack them together to explore form\, balance\, and creative composition. \nAt Creative Saturdays\, guests of all ages and abilities are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Craft in Common is a one-day convening focused on collecting\, connoisseurship\, and exploring one of today’s most transformative art forms: craft. \nHeadlining the day are artist and collector Robyn Horn\, steadfast advocate for the arts and artists\, and blacksmith Elizabeth Brim\, whose sculptural ironwork has redefined the boundaries of a traditionally male-dominated craft. \nSchedule:\n\n10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. / “Collecting That Matters”\n\nA conversation on collecting with Horn and Stefanie Kirkland\, AMFA’s Windgate Foundation Curator of Contemporary Craft\n\n\n12:00–1:30 p.m. / Lunch & Demonstrations\n\nLunch is provided.
