DESCRIPTION:Start your weekend with free art-making fun for all ages and skill levels in AMFA’s Windgate Art School! \nInspired by the vibrant spirit of Pride Month\, design and construct a colorful wearable headpiece that will be the perfect accessory to wear at SoMa Pride on June 7. \nFor preschool-aged children\, do not miss Art Start at 10:30 a.m. in the Amerine/Calhoun Glass Box\, where there will be a live playful reading of I Am An Artist by Marta Altés. After storytime\, young artists will dive into an art-making project using stamps to create a pattern-filled masterpiece. \n\nCreative Saturdays with Art Start is supported in part by the Alice L. Walton Foundation and Walmart Spark Good. \nThe Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. \nWindgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported in part by Michael Laughter.
